Hamster Kombat: A Whisker Away from the Void?
Just months ago, Hamster Kombat reigned on Telegram, raking in 300 million players like clockwork. Now, that mighty user base has shrunk to a brittle 41 million as of Nov. 5. This is an 86% nosedive that even the most seasoned HODLers couldn’t stomach. The culprit? A mix of messy politics and a fresh app drop that’s attracting Telegram’s fast-fingered crowd.
The real pain began with big-shot bans. Iranian bigwigs took aim, souring the Kombat vibe, while the Uz-town rumor mill churned out tales of prohibition. Though Uzbekistan didn’t pull the rug on Hamster Kombat, the drama sent enough spooked players scattering. Fearful whispers of “shutdown” spread through the Telegram grapevine, leaving this hamster spinning its wheel with no users left.
Paws Blows Up the Scene: Millions Join the Frenzy
Then came Paws — the underdog Mini App running hot on Telegram’s heels. Paws snatched up 20.5 million users in a mere eight days, outpacing Hamster Kombat’s rise in the blink of an eye. The app’s wallet count surged to 10 million by Nov. 4, and its following on X shot past a million, proving the new game’s bite is as fierce as its bark.
Why the hype? It’s that fast-action vibe and quick taps for rewards that pull ‘em in. Paws came in fresh, lean, and free of red tape, a big magnet for restless Kombat players. Meanwhile, Hamster Kombat devs scrambled, pledging payments, new games, and even NFTs in-game, but that’s yet to convince the masses. Words are cheap in this game, and the players are looking for action.
HMSTR and DOGS Tokens Tank as Interest Sinks
The user exit is hitting Hamster Kombat’s HMSTR token hard. Peaking at $0.01 in late September, HMSTR’s now scraping at $0.0022 — a 70% nosedive that’s shaking the diamond hands. IntoTheBlock data shows HMSTR’s active addresses hit a peak of 772,330 on Sept. 27 but slid over 36% in just one week. The AAR (active address ratio) now sits at a weak 0.34%, spelling out a dwindling crowd with little faith left.
In a similar fashion, DOGS, another Telegram game token, crashed from $0.0014 in August to a flimsy $0.0004 by early November. Its AAR tanked too, bottoming at 0.27%, signaling that Telegram’s token lovefest might be fizzling fast.
And while HMSTR’s wallet count technically hit a 30-day high with 3.5 million addresses, most are just hodling dust, with no action in sight. Hamster Kombat’s gotta face the truth — when the user exodus starts, it’s a wild stampede that only the next big airdrop might tame.
