The X Empire crew just tossed out their airdrop details, but the community ain’t too happy. The Elon-themed Telegram game is dropping its X tokens on The Open Network (TON) this Thursday, but it seems some players were left in the dust. And guess what? They’re not staying quiet—they’re tweeting Elon Musk himself for answers.
Unveiling the Airdrop: Some Get Rich, Others Get Left Out
So, X Empire finally revealed its token allocation last Friday, letting players know how much X they could stack. Some were ready to trade as soon as October 24 hit, flexing their self-custody TON wallets or linking up with centralized exchanges like OKX or Bybit. But not everyone was hyped. A good chunk of players found themselves excluded without explanation, sparking a social media storm.
Saturday saw the game’s creator, Alex Falcon, step in to cool things down. He dropped a Telegram post, saying that “active friends” were the golden ticket to securing the drop. Profit-per-hour and quest completion also weighed in heavy on the final numbers. “Everyone who truly invested time in X Empire gained access to the drop,” Falcon claimed.
6 Million Players Get Tokens, But 50 Million Were Involved
Falcon wasn’t messing around—he confirmed that a whopping 6 million players would snag the airdrop. But here’s the kicker: X Empire previously boasted about pulling in 50 million players total, and Telegram’s app data showed 34 million active heads in just the past month. A whole lotta players got left out, and they weren’t thrilled about it.
Twitter lit up with complaints, and some folks went straight to Elon Musk, even though the man has zero connection to the game. Still, the Musk-inspired avatars and the game’s previous name, Musk Empire, probably explain why players thought it was worth tagging him. “Totally scam project backed by your name,” one player tweeted, urging Musk to launch an interrogation into the game’s team.
Will the X Token Really Be Worth It?
This isn’t the first time a Telegram game faced backlash over its airdrop. Just last month, Catizen and Hamster Kombat caught similar heat for unclear reward systems. But X Empire is trying to make things right by promising future uses for its X token. They’ve teased everything from a news feed to a sleep tracker. Plus, there’s more airdrop action for X Empire players as new Telegram games from the team hit the scene.
